One of things we have never been able to overcome is the trouble caused when someone gets an air conditioning system and the outdoor condensing unit sits close to a neighbor’s window.
Imagine in downtown Toronto or any old neighborhood where the houses are built very close to each other. Often there is only a narrow walkway between homes.
Frustrations can run high when the nighttime temperatures hover around the 30 degree Celsius mark with 80% humidity and you can’t sleep. Now compound that with lying in bed sweating, tossing and turning and to add insult to injury, the guy next door has just installed a new air conditioning system and its humming right outside your window.
We have seen many complaints about this issue and have only ever been able to put our arms in the air and say we don’t have an answer.

The solution? Daikin’s night quiet mode!
As soon as we started to offer the Daikin brand of ductless air conditioners and heat pumps and looked at all of the features that this brand had that other brands didn’t, we knew we had a real winner, the best brand in the industry!
One of those great features is the night quiet mode.
Amazingly, this feature finally solves the one issue we never had a solution for, unhappy neighbors with the noise of the outdoor condenser.
When you have a Daikin ductless air conditioner or heat pump installed in your home, you get this great feature called the night quiet mode, very simple yet effective.
When you go to bed at night you simply push the night quiet mode button on the hand held wireless remote and the system slows the outdoor fan and reduces the capacity of air conditioner because as you fall asleep you don’t need as much cooling and it reduces the noise of the outdoor condenser by 3 decibels. This may not sound like much, but that’s equal to a 50% reduction in noise at the outdoor unit!
We’ve stopped getting complaints from unhappy neighbors; we just keep getting compliments from happy Daikin owners!
